[TIPS] How to choose a lens cover for your telephoto lens

Lens cover for Nikon Z 100-400mm

Made for one lens, not one size fits all

A telephoto lens spends its life on a strap, in a bag and on a tripod, and every one of those leaves marks. Our lens covers are sewn for a specific lens model, so the pieces follow the barrel, the zoom ring and the hood exactly and nothing flaps or slides.

Pick your cover in three steps

  1. Start from the lens maker. Covers are grouped by brand: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Tamron and Sigma.
  2. Match the full lens name. Check the focal range, aperture and version in the product title (for example "Nikon Z 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VR S"). A cover for a different version will not line up with the rings.
  3. Choose the finish. Black keeps a low profile; Forest camouflage helps you blend in for birds and wildlife.

What you get

The cover is made of neoprene and nylon: soft on the inside so it does not scratch the paint, and water resistant on the outside against rain and dew. It protects the lens against bumps and scratches while all controls stay accessible. Made in China. Camera and lens are not included.
