[TIPS] Fitting an Easy Cover and its screen protector
Ten minutes, no tools
An Easy Cover is a stretchy silicone skin molded for one camera model. Fitting it is easy, but doing it in the right order keeps the cut-outs aligned and the cover flat.
Screen protector first
- Wipe the LCD with a clean microfiber cloth; any dust left under the film shows as a bubble.
- Peel the backing from the protector, align one edge with the edge of the screen, and lower it slowly.
- Push out any bubbles from the center to the edge with the cloth.
Then the cover
- Remove the lens, strap and any grip or battery pack.
- Stretch the cover over the grip side of the body first, then work it over the back and the top.
- Line up the cut-outs: lens mount, viewfinder, dials, battery door, card slot and ports. Run a finger along each edge so the silicone sits flat.
- Refit the lens and strap through the openings.
Cleaning
The cover is splashproof and can be washed. Take it off, wash it in lukewarm water with a little neutral detergent, and let it dry completely before putting it back on.
Choose the cover made for your exact model; each one is molded differently. Material: high quality silicone, screen protector included. Made in China.
